Welcome to ARC Baldwin County


It is the mission of the ARC-BC, Inc. to ensure those appropriate and quality services are available and accessible to persons with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities throughout their life. Their services will be family and individual driven, proactive, and creative in their response to individual needs. Service delivery will be designed to provide a wide array of service options that can be tailored to individual and families’ needs. Community based service will promote family unity by natural family and community support systems and above all, enhance the quality of life of citizens with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities in Baldwin County.

Job Description

Must have a Bachelor's degree in a human service field or a Bachelor's degree with 12 hours course credit in a human service field.

Must have at least one year's experience working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

Must have an Alabama Driver's License.

Must have computer skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.

Job duties include, but are not limited to: Co-facilitating person centered planning meetings with support coordinators, completing assessments on persons served, creating goal training for persons served, communicating with families and others regarding persons served, attending all meetings for persons assigned to your caseload, completing progress notes, and completing documentation.

Training is provided.

A pre-employment drug screening and background check will be completed.

A TB test is required upon hire.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year

All day programs will remain closed through at least June 30, 2020.

This is per a directive we have received from the Alabama Department of Mental Health, Division of Developmental Disabilities.

Covid 19 (Corona Virus) Protocol:

All ARC Baldwin County Day Programs will close at 3pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. We will re-evaluate the closures on April 6, 2020 and decide if they need to remain closed or if they will re-open.

All respite services are cancelled until further notice.

All community outings and activities have been cancelled until further notice.

HIPPA STATEMENT
HIPPA stands for the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, which is a federal law passed in 1996. The law outlines that agencies are legally responsible to protect the health information of the individuals they provide services to. ARC-BC, Inc. keeps all files under lock and key. All medical and personal information for the individuals we serve are kept in locked cabinets or closets. Employees are trained on and expected to maintain confidentiality. Information about the individuals we serve is only shared with those employees who work directly with the individuals.
